AppleCare FAQ
We do all AppleCare warranty work. All work is done in house by our Apple trained and certified technicians. Cinema Displays and some laptop procedures (in extreme cases) are sent directly to Apple.
*Sorry, we do not service/repair/exchange iPods or Apple TV’s.
My Macintosh is under AppleCare, and I need repairs. What do I need to do?
Just bring in your machine. No appointment necessary. We’ll be able to look up the AppleCare information by the machine’s serial #. No receipt or paperwork is needed. Bring in only the computer. We do not need power cords, keyboards, or mice unless you are having problems with those specific parts.
What is does my AppleCare warranty cover?
AppleCare service covers manufacturing defects in the hardware. It ensures that your computer will always be running to factory specifications.
Does AppleCare cover accidental damage?
AppleCare does not repairs caused by misuse or abuse of your computer. (Liquid spills, drops, etc.)
Does AppleCare cover software issues?
AppleCare provides toll free telephone support. Apple will not pay for in store software services. Software issues are most commonly caused by user interaction with the computer and are not covered by the protection plan.
I need my Apple fixed as soon as possible.
AppleCare repairs are done on a first come, first served basis. Average resolution time is 3 -5 days. Express and Priority services are available. If a machine is checked in for Express or Priority service, the first hour of labor is NOT covered under AppleCare.
I cannot afford to loose any of the data on my Apple.
Data is not covered under AppleCare. Our technicians go to great lengths to avoid loosing your data, but there is no way to guarantee against data loss. Data backup service is available for $75. If possible, please back up your most important data prior to bringing your machine into service.
My battery/AC adapter is broken on my Apple laptop.
Your machine must be checked into service along with your battery/AC adapter. A complete diagnostic must be done to see if a problem with the computer may have caused the AC adapter/battery to prematurely fail.
